Abstract:Based on the electrical characteristics of carbon fiber composite, such as low conductivity and anisotropy, a high frequency eddy current testing system with a maximum frequency as high as 10MHz is designed and developed in this study. The slave computer of this system is based on a high speed ARM microprocessor named STM32F407, and the host computer use virtual instrument software LabVIEW to design UI. The system is composed of a signal generator module, a power amplifier module, an adjusting gain amplifier module, a lock-in amplifier module, a USB transmission module and a data acquisition module. The system has the advantages of high integration and small size. We use the high frequency eddy current testing system to detect common damage of CFRP, including impact damage and delamination damage. The results prove the feasibility and practicability of the system.
