Abstract:Recently, vibration fatigue problems have drawn technicians’ attention dramatically in areas of wind power generation, land transportation, marine engineering and aeronautics and astronautics. As the fundamental parameter in random vibration fatigue analysis, random S-N curves have a significant effect on structural fatigue life prediction. This paper presents a database method of collecting these curves based on the LabVIEW platform. Firstly, several traditional methods which are frequently used in database connection in LabVIEW are presented. Secondly, a new mini-database technology is introduced. Lastly, a database program of material random S-N curves is shown in this paper. After testing and validating, the mini-database method is able to function as usual database management. Furthermore, the database program of material random S-N curves works successfully in material parameters collection.
