Abstract:GMTI (ground moving target indication) is one of the basic functions for SAR (synthetic aperture radar) system. Compared with singlechannel SAR system, multichannel SAR system has a lot of advantages in GMTI. However, the corresponding original data needed by multichannel SAR system would grow exponentially. This paper proposes a method to compress dualchannel SAR GMTI data, basing on DCS (distributed compressive sensing). The proposed method mainly utilizes the sparsity of moving target signals for data compression; therefore it is applicable when the observing scene is not sparse. The simulation and real measurement results have validated that the presented method can efficiently reduce the data size of dualchannel SAR GMTI. Also, the signal to clutter and noise ratio (SCNR) shows improvement compared with traditional DPCA GMTI.
