This paper discusses the history and traceability of fiber tapes. According to JJG52001 “Fiber Tapes and Measuring Ropesverification regulation”, it contains the step and method of measurement uncertainty and discusses the calibration method, mathematics model, variance transmission coefficient,standard uncertainty, combined standard uncertainty and expended measurement uncertainty in order.Comparing the extended uncertainty with the maximum permissible error, weget the feasible conclusion of this test method. At the end it proposes the development direction of highprecision glass fiber tapes.
